THE UNEXPLORED KUMAON – 6 Days Motorcycle Ride Into The Unknown!

This ride takes you to curvy Himalayan roads with pit-stops for photography, breaks & lunch, and simply for the heck of it. The experience you will have, and the richness you will imbibe during this motorcycle ride will incomparable to anything else in the world.

A peaceful environment, and a responsible riding attitude towards nature and its inhabitants, relaxed approach and amazing views all around will keep you refreshed.

You will get a chance to regale in the bright lazy sun, get a chance to be one with the mountain people, and this harmony will be broken only by the drift of the breeze, or may be requests to pass the smoke on, and may be the cries of hyena from somewhere deep in the jungle.


Day 01 | Delhi to Syat | 281 Kms | 60% Highway + 20% Forest + 20% Hilly Tracks

Assemble at Nehru Place Metro Station. Be on road after the initial briefing on safety, formation, route, etc. Breakfast en-route at Highway Dhaba near Gajraula. Arrive at the camping site for Lunch. This camping site creates some of the most intense wildlife jungle experience possible as it is surrounded by thick Saal forest. Your tents will be pitched on the hill slopes which offers bird’s eye view of the Corbett periphery spread out below.

  • Short treks in the nearby forest
  • Rope Ladder Fall & Tyrolean traverse
  • River side lunch
  • Overnight stay in Machaan (for Wildlife enthusiasts)
  • Body Surfing
  • Bonfire

Day 02 |  Syat to Daan-kurhi | 130 Kms | 90% Hill Roads + 10 % Highway

Post breakfast, be back on saddle and will be riding up towards our next destination called Daan-kurhi. Daan-kurhi is a local term used by locals for the highest dwelling in the valley. From the courtyard, one can see a broad cultivated valley ringed by rising hills on all sides dotted with small villages on its slopes. In the centre of the valley is small stone temple, one of the only two sun temples in the Indian Himalayas. Lunch en-route.

  • Small hikes to nearby hidden meadows
  • Walk to sun temple & hidden villages
  • Mountain Biking Trails
  • Kite making & flying
  • Bonfire

Day 03 & Day 04  |  Daan-kurhi to Rigonia | 166 Kms | 100% Hilly Terrain

This is the most famous part of the riding as we will taking most unsung roads of Kumaon. Post breakfast, we will start riding towards the famous Bageshwar town and then into the unknown. Lunch-enroute. We will be arriving in the evening at Rigonia Village. The village is tucked away into the base of a small hill along the Ramganga and is known for the Kali Naag Temple, it is a bird watchers paradise and the site is ideal for water sports.

Possible Action:

  • River Kayaking
  • Surf the river with life jacket
  • River Crossing
  • Slithering from the suspended bridge
  • Short hikes to adjacent valleys & freshwater streams
  • Beach Volley Ball Match with Team HMC or simply sunbathe by the riverside & …..beer may be!
  • Late evening can be spent fishing with nets and angling
  • Bonfire – Cook self-caught fish in local style.

Day 05 |  Rigonia to Surya Gaon | 203 Kms | 100% Hilly Terrain

It is going to be to longest motorcycle ride we will be doing on this trip till now. So, we start after early breakfast towards Almora City and then to small hilltop village called Surya overlooking cluster of seven interconnecting lakes. It is going to be super curvaceous ride today. Lunch en-route.

Possible Action:

  • Kayaking in lake (still water)
  • Rock-Climbing & Rappelling (Natural rock face where you can rappel for 80 feet)

Day 06 | Surya Gaon to New Delhi | 332 Kms | 30% Hilly Terrain + 70% Highway

Post breakfast and early morning kayaking session, we will hop on our motorcycles and ride towards Delhi. Be back in Delhi by evening. Lunch En-route.

  • An experienced Tour Captain with English & Hindi as spoken languages
  • Mechanical Support Team – which means a small team of trained & experienced mechanic with all spares and tools will be accompanying the group in back-up SUV. They will work on motorcycles in case something goes wrong and also keep checking your motorcycle time to time to keep it fit for the ride. However, spares will be charged to the riders as and when needed.

Do I need to bring my own motorcycle? Yes, you do. In case, if you do not have one then we can provide you Royal Enfield 500 & Royal Enfield 350 on rent basis. Please contact our office in New Delhi for more details on it.

How will I get my motorcycle in New Delhi?  There are many ways to get transport your motorcycle in New Delhi for this ride. Either ride your motorcycle down or your can courier your motorcycle using services like GATI or SAINIK or AGARWAL or train parcel. While sending your motorcycle, please make sure that they are packing it well and placing it properly in the transport vehicle.
